Two "black spots" of railway accidents in Nghi Loc are equipped with automatic warnings.

(Baonghean.vn)- Nghi Loc district has many residential level crossings intersecting with the North-South railway. Of these, two residential level crossings frequently have traffic accidents. These are the level crossing to Nghi Long Commune People's Committee (Km 305 + 900) and the level crossing to Nghi Trung Commune People's Committee (Km 309 + 60).

In 2015 alone, at these two black spots, there were 6 railway traffic accidents, killing 5 people and injuring 1 person. Faced with this situation, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee organized the installation of automatic warning systems at these two level crossings.

Currently, Nghe Tinh Railway Management One Member Co., Ltd. and Vinh Railway Signal One Member Co., Ltd. are coordinating to undertake the construction.

Nghe Tinh Railway Management One Member Co., Ltd. replaced the railway cross-sections, replaced the rail-holding accessories, replaced new stones and raised and tightened the railway, widened the level crossing from 4 m to 6 m, and installed signs.

Vinh Railway Signal One Member Co., Ltd. installed an automatic signal control system, including: signal control cabinet, two signal light poles, and two automatic barrier poles.

With this automatic warning system, when a train approaches, 1.5km away, the system will operate: the bell rings, the lights come on, the barrier closes. Currently, the units are speeding up the construction progress. Striving to complete and put into use the automatic warning system at the 2 "black spots" by mid-second quarter of 2016, ensuring safety for people and vehicles passing through here./.
