Two best-selling Kia car models reduced in price by nearly 10 million VND

Kia Morning and Kia Cerato - two car models that are constantly in the top 10 best-selling cars every month - have just had their prices adjusted down from 5 to 9 million VND.

Distributor Truong Hai has just announced new prices applied from August 10 for two car lines, Kia Morning and Cerato. Accordingly, the small car Kia Morning including 4 versions has been adjusted down from 5 to 7 million VND.

The lowest version of Kia Morning MT 1.0L is currently priced at only 310 million VND. Last month, the listed price was 316 million VND. The highest version of Kia Morning Si AT 1.25L has a new retail price of 397 million VND, a decrease of 5 million compared to the old price of 402 million VND.

The two Kia Morning and Kia Cerato models have new prices, reduced from 5 to 9 million compared to last month.

Meanwhile, the Kia Cerato C-class sedan line includes 3 versions and has a discount of 6 to 9 million VND. The lowest version Cerato 1.6 MT is currently priced at 560 million VND, a decrease of 9 million compared to last month. The remaining two versions have a discount of 6 and 7 million VND.

After sharply reducing prices for Mazda models, the move to adjust the selling prices of the best-selling Kia models shows that Truong Hai is focusing on boosting sales and gaining market share. In 2017, Truong Hai aims to sell more than 112,000 vehicles, including commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Kia Morning is currently priced from only 310 million VND.

In the passenger car segment, in the first 7 months of 2017, Kia Morning's sales reached more than 6,000 units, an average of more than 800 units/month. Currently, Kia Morning accounts for 65% of the market share in the small car segment. In this segment, Kia Morning faces the biggest competition from Hyundai Grand i10. However, the selling price of Grand i10 is not as soft as Kia Morning.

Kia Morning's market share in the small car segment is up to 65%.

The Kia Cerato C-class sedan had sales of nearly 3,000 units in the first 6 months of 2017. In this segment, Mazda 3 or Corolla Altis are strong competitors of Cerato.

Kia Morning and Kia Cerato are currently assembled at Truong Hai factory in Quang Nam. Kia Morning uses 1.0L or 1.25L gasoline engine with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, Kia Cerato has 3 versions using 2 types of engines: Gamma 1.6L and Nu 2.0L, with 2 options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
