Two people held hostage in church in France
Two men armed with knives took hostages at the church of the town of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy, northern France, Sputnik reported, citing Reuters.

According to preliminary figures, the number of hostages could be 4-6 people. Later it was reported that two attackers were neutralized. Details of the incident have not been clarified. According to the latest information, one of the hostages was killed.
France is under a state of emergency. Restrictions imposed late last year were expanded after the terrorist attack in Nice on 14 July, when a lorry killed 84 people.
At that time, the terrorist group "Islamic State" (IS, banned in Russia) claimed responsibility for the attack.
