Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Huy Chuong - Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee emphasized that the work of ensuring traffic order and safety for school-age children has always received attention and synchronous direction from the Party and Government from the Central to the local levels, thanks to which the basic situation has been maintained. However, in reality, there are still many tragic accidents involving students, mainly because some students are not qualified but still drive vehicles, do not wear helmets, violate speed limits, lack skills to handle situations, while management and reminders from families are sometimes not regular and strict.

The program is organized to help students fully equip themselves with knowledge of traffic safety laws and safe driving skills, while at the same time, enhancing the responsibility of schools in educating awareness of traffic law compliance. High schools in the area will implement the signing of commitments between schools, students and parents; considering compliance with traffic safety laws as one of the criteria for assessing conduct.
