Nghe An provides goods and necessities to support people isolated by floods.
In recent days, many essential shipments have been provided by the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Military Command to the flooded areas of Anh Son and Tan Ky. Thousands of boxes of instant noodles, milk, and drinking water have been promptly transported to the people, helping them ease their difficulties during the days of isolation.
Implementing the direction of the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, in order to promptly supply enough essential goods and goods for post-storm recovery work for areas affected by storm No. 10 and floods in the province, the Department of Industry and Trade has mobilized goods and coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to transport them to isolated areas.
Accordingly, from October 1-4, 6 communes in Anh Son area including: Vinh Tuong, Thanh Binh Tho, Anh Son, Anh Son Dong, Nhan Hoa, Yen Xuan were supplied with 3,200 boxes of instant noodles, 1,250 boxes of Vinamilk fresh milk, 520 boxes of water; Tan Ky commune was supplied with 1,500 boxes of instant noodles, 540 boxes of fresh milk, and 320 boxes of water.
Mr. Nguyen Van Que - Vice Chairman of Nhan Hoa Commune People's Committee said: The impact of storm No. 10 caused severe flooding in the commune, the water level rose high, isolating and flooding some households. The total number of isolated households was 1,800 with 8,000 people. In that urgent situation, we received timely support from the province and the Department of Industry and Trade. 600 boxes of instant noodles, 250 boxes of milk and 120 bottles of water were promptly supplied and delivered to people during the rainy and flooded days.


The leader of the Department of Industry and Trade said: After storm No. 10 passed, many localities were still flooded and isolated, forcing people here to struggle to overcome days of lack of basic living conditions. In that situation, the province has built a timely plan to support people as quickly as possible. These are communes that were heavily flooded due to the circulation of storm No. 10, the quantity of goods supplied according to the demand report from the locality. All essential goods have been transported by the Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Provincial Military Command to the commune center, and from there the localities will distribute to people who are heavily affected by storm No. 10. Hopefully, people will soon overcome the current difficulties to stabilize their lives.
