Two people died one after another after drinking homemade medicinal wine.
Within two days, two men drank the same bottle of homemade medicinal wine and died one after the other.
On April 9, Ham Yen District Police, Tuyen Quang Province, said that the unit is investigating the case of two people who died of unknown causes in the area.
The victims include Mr. Phan Van C. (born in 1961, residing in Tro village, Phu Luu commune, Ham Yen district) and Mr. Phan Van Ch. (born in 1967, residing in Thuoc Ha village 3, Tan Thanh commune, Ham Yen district).
According to initial information, on the evening of April 4, Mr. Phan Van C. brought a bottle of medicinal wine (wine that Mr. C. soaked himself from various plants) from his home to the house of a person in the same village to have a Thanh Minh festival meal.
At the meal, Mr. C. said to himself.drink alcoholhis own, then went home to sleep. At about 7 o'clock the next day, Mr. C's family discovered that he had died.

Also on the morning of April 5, Mr. Phan Van Ch. went to Mr. C.'s family to pay his respects according to custom and saw a bottle of medicinal wine (the bottle of wine that Mr. C. used on the evening of April 4) at Mr. C.'s house, so he took it and drank it himself.
After that, Mr. Ch. complained of a headache and went to Mr. C.'s bed to lie down. Not long after, everyone was shocked to discover that Mr. Phan Van Ch. had died.
Upon receiving the report, Ham Yen District Police coordinated with the District People's Procuracy to examine the scene, conduct an autopsy and take professional measures to clarify the cause.
