Two people ran for National Assembly in Hanoi, one was elected.
In the two self-nominated cases in Hanoi, only Nguyen Anh Tri, Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, was elected to the National Assembly.
According to the election results of the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term, which have just been approved by the Hanoi City Election Committee, Hanoi has elected enough 30 National Assembly deputies as the target allocated by the Central Government.

In the list of candidates from Hanoi for the 14th National Assembly, there are two self-nominated candidates: Mr. Nguyen Huu Ninh, visiting professor and doctor at San Diego State University, USA; honorary professor at Pecs University, Hungary and Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
Professor - PhD, Nguyen Huu Ninh is a climate change environmental researcher and policy consultant, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Environmental Education and Development Research under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
The second person is medical doctor Nguyen Anh Tri, Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, who has made many contributions to volunteer work for community health.
However, according to the election results of the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term, which have just been approved by the Hanoi City Election Committee, Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion Nguyen Anh Tri was elected; while Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Ninh was not elected as a National Assembly delegate./.
