Teachers at the forefront of new technology

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tu is a teacher at Vocational College No. 4 - Ministry of National Defense, Faculty of Automotive Technology and Faculty of Construction Machinery. In particular, at the 2021 National Education Teachers' Conference, he won first prize with the lecture "Dynamic balancing of car wheels on the Sogo SG-206A machine". In this lecture, he had to do it online at a time when the whole country was in social distancing due to the Covid-19 epidemic. When doing the lecture, the teacher must perform with 100% accuracy. Because if there is a 0.1 mm error, the practitioner must do it again, and in the online exam, re-doing is not allowed.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tu is known as a model of innovative and creative vocational education, daring to think and act in carrying out his duties. The honor of meeting the Prime Minister on the occasion of the Teachers' Charter is a meaningful gift and a source of pride for him in his professional life.

Teaching for passion

As a student at the Small Industry School, with good academic records, female student Nguyen Thi Ngoc was retained at the school with an excellent degree. With her constant efforts, teacher Ngoc is considered a dedicated teacher who loves her job and students despite many difficulties and hardships.

During her work, she has achieved many achievements, such as in 2020, winning the First Prize in the Provincial Fashion Sewing Vocational Education Teacher Competition; in 2021, winning the First Prize at the National level with the topic of Sewing a single-layer box bag with a round bottom lid. The topic that won the National Prize is a topic that the teacher is very passionate about and has practiced for a long time. "There were times when, because of social distancing, I had to ask my husband to be a student, and I also had to guide him to do the same as I guide my students. This achievement is not only due to my own efforts but also the consensus and support of the school's Board of Directors and my family," Ms. Ngoc shared.

For Ms. Ngoc, teaching fashion sewing is not necessarily too difficult, but it requires teachers to first have talent, then work hard to improve their skills and especially be dedicated to their students. A student who has not completed a module also makes her lose sleep and appetite, finding ways to teach and train more until the student can perfect the new skills. Teaching is also difficult because the skill level and ability to absorb knowledge of students are not equal, so teachers must find the optimal way to help students acquire knowledge and turn it into their own skills in the shortest time. "Every time I receive news that my students have achieved success somewhere, I am extremely moved, I am happy for my own achievements and happy that my students have been able to master their skills, something that every vocational teacher wishes for."

When receiving an audience with the Prime Minister, Ms. Ngoc said it was an honor and a great joy that the profession brought her. “If I could do it again, I would still choose this profession, a profession that allows me to pass on to my students the values that I have accumulated.”
