Two cars collided, causing 7 casualties

On the morning of October 9, the Traffic Safety Committee of Gia Lai province confirmed that a serious traffic accident occurred on National Highway 19, passing through Dak Doa district (Gia Lai) in the early evening of October 8. This traffic accident left one person dead and six others injured.

Gia Lai Provincial Traffic Safety Committee visited the victims after the traffic accident.

Initial information from Dak Doa District Police said that at around 7:00 p.m. on October 8, a 16-seat Ford Transit passenger van with license plate 81B - 004.75 collided with a pickup truck with license plate 81C - 147.90 while traveling on National Highway 19, through Tan Binh Commune, Dak Doa District.

This serious traffic accident caused the driver of the passenger bus to die immediately afterwards. Authorities at the scene along with local people took 6 other victims to the emergency room in the center of Pleiku City.

The leader of the Gia Lai Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Office said that the identity of the deceased driver was identified as Nguyen Tan Phat (born 74, Group 2, Phu Dong Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai). At the time, the passenger bus was carrying 10 people. The traffic accident injured 6 victims on the bus.

The victims were classified and transferred to Gia Lai Provincial General Hospital, Military Hospital 211, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital for timely emergency care.

After receiving the news, the Gia Lai Provincial Traffic Safety Committee went to the scene to inspect and encourage the victims of the traffic accident. Currently, the identities of the victims are being determined.
