A total of 95.1 kg of ivory was discovered in four pieces of luggage traveling with two passengers on a flight from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to Hanoi, transiting in Paris.

This stock has been crafted into chopsticks, jewelry and cut into small blocks.

This is the largest amount of ivory ever smuggled by an airline passenger by French authorities.

French authorities said they were coordinating with foreign authorities in the case, but did not disclose further details.

In 2014, French customs also busted a smuggling case with a volume of up to 234 kg of raw ivory and 476 ivory products, but under the form of consignment goods./.
