Vietnam Navy and Chinese Navy conduct joint patrol

On the afternoon of June 22, in Da Nang, ships HQ 011 and HQ 012 with more than 200 officers and crew members departed to participate in the 15th joint patrol with the Chinese Navy.

With the approval of the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Defense, on the afternoon of June 22, in Da Nang, ships HQ 011 and HQ 012 with more than 200 officers and crew members departed to participate in the 15th joint patrol with the Chinese Navy and visit and exchange in Zhanjiang city, Guangdong province, China.

During the patrol, the two ships HQ 01 and HQ 012 and the Chinese Navy ships will practice search and rescue together and exchange experiences in this activity.

In addition to performing joint patrol missions with Chinese Navy ships, HQ 011 and HQ 012 also participated in activities such as paying courtesy calls to leaders of Zhanjiang City government and the South Sea Fleet Command; visiting joint patrol ships of the South Sea Fleet and exchanging experiences in patrolling at sea; participating in sports and cultural exchanges with units of the South Sea Fleet Command; and visiting some scenic spots in Zhanjiang City.

The joint patrol with the Chinese Navy by HQ 011 and HQ 012 aims to strengthen the friendly relationship, mutual understanding and trust between the armies and navies of Vietnam and China; at the same time, improve the effectiveness of coordination in implementing the agreement on joint patrol regulations with the Chinese Navy, contributing to maintaining order and security in the Gulf of Tonkin and in Vietnam's seas, thereby creating a friendly atmosphere, minimizing the risk of collisions and conflicts at sea.
