Two crew members have returned home, continuing the search for the missing person.
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 30, the People's Committee of Nghe An province directed functional forces to continue mobilizing rescue vehicles to search for 8 missing fishermen on fishing boat NA 90249 of Mr. Nguyen Van Tri, residing in Tan An hamlet, An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district, which was sunk by waves.
Comrade Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command of Nghe An directly directed the search and rescue work.
Currently, the Nghe An Fisheries Surveillance force continues to expand the search area around the area where the Quang Binh fishing boat discovered and rescued two fishermen. In the afternoon of the same day, the Fisheries Surveillance ship discovered a plastic can floating in the area but has not yet found any more victims. In the coming time, the search will continue to be actively deployed.
In addition to searching for victims, the Provincial People's Committee has mobilized specialized ships to the area where the ship was sunk by waves to conduct salvage.
The provincial Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command is arranging a high-capacity ship using a cable to locate the NA 90249 and waiting for a team of professional divers and a specialized ship to find a salvage plan. Because the area where the ship sank currently has big waves, strong winds, and a depth of more than 70 meters, divers are having difficulty approaching and salvage the ship.
Late afternoon on November 30, two fishermen, Ho Vinh Lai (34 years old, residing in An Hoa commune) and Nguyen Van Ha (16 years old, residing in Quynh Long commune) were brought ashore by the fishing boat of Mr. Nguyen Van Kinh in Quynh Luu district.
