Two million college and university applications
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of applications for university and college entrance exams this year is nearly 2 million.
Of which, the number of university entrance exam applications is nearly 1.5 million, accounting for nearly 75%. The number of college entrance exam applications is nearly 500,000, accounting for 25%.
The number of applications for group A is overwhelming with nearly 1.1 million sets, accounting for 55.2% of the total number of applications. In second place is the number of applications for group B with over 381,000 sets, accounting for 19.4%. Group D has nearly 305,000 sets, accounting for 15.5%. Group C has a more modest number of candidates with over 125,000 sets, accounting for 6.4%. Other groups account for 3.5%.

However, annual admissions show that the rate of "virtual" candidates (candidates who submit applications but do not attend the exam) accounts for about 25% of the total number of applications.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year's university entrance exam is basically the same as in 2010 with the 3 common exam methods (common session, common questions, and final exam results). The exam will take place from July 4 to July 16, 2011.
The new point of this year's admission season is that the Ministry of Education and Training exempts disabled students and foreign students from taking the general exam. Candidates have the right to change their admission wishes within the allowed time limit. The Ministry also stipulates that it will punish schools that intentionally send notices to candidates who do not take the entrance exam.
