Has Hamas completely lost control of the northern Gaza Strip?
(Baonghean.vn) - According to RT, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas has now lost all control over the northern Gaza Strip, and when the war ends, Israel will maintain "security control" to ensure that no new government educates children to "hate Israel".

During a press conference held on the night of November 11 in Tel Aviv, Mr. Netanyahu declared: "There is no substitute for victory. We will destroy Hamas and save our hostages. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have completed the siege of Gaza City. They are in the area outside Shifa Hospital and have killed many terrorists."
“Hamas has lost control of the northern Gaza Strip. They have no safe haven to hide. Until the last terrorist, all Hamas, is dead,” he declared.
“We will not stop until the mission is completed,” the Israeli leader said, reassuring the families of the fallen Israeli soldiers that “we are doing everything to be worthy of their sacrifice and heroism.”
Earlier on November 9, Mr. Netanyahu announced his long-term plan for Gaza, affirming that Israel would ensure the territory would no longer pose a threat to the Jewish state. “What we need to see is Gaza demilitarized, deradicalized and rebuilt,” he said, adding, “We do not seek to invade Gaza. We do not seek to occupy Gaza. And we do not seek to rule Gaza.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu explained that regardless of who governs Gaza after the war, Israel will need to create a force that can “enter Gaza and eliminate the murderers” at any time, to “prevent the emergence of another entity like Hamas.”
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also previously said Israeli forces would establish a “new security reality” in the region, but stressed the IDF would not be responsible for “everyday life in the Gaza Strip.”
On November 11, Mr. Netanyahu also rejected the possibility of the Palestinian Authority taking control of Gaza after the war, emphasizing that “there will be no civilian government there that educates their children to hate Israel, kill Israelis or eliminate Israel.”
“There cannot be any authority that does not condemn the massacre. There will have to be something else, but in any case there is our security control. I support that and I have no intention of giving up,” he said.
Israel has launched an unprecedented military bombardment of the densely populated Gaza enclave in retaliation for Hamas's offensive on its territory last month. Israeli officials said on November 10 that about 1,200 of their citizens – mostly civilians – had died in the attack, a downward revision of previous estimates.
Meanwhile, Palestinian health officials say more than 11,000 people have been killed in more than four weeks of shelling and airstrikes in Gaza, about 40% of them children.
