Minimize damage caused by fire

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 15, Nghe An Province Fire Prevention and Fighting Police held a conference to summarize the 2014 work program and deploy tasks for 2015.

Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Tan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a speech at the conference. Also attending were the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, Comrade Le Quang Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments and branches of Nghe An province.

In 2014, although it had only been in operation for more than 5 months, the Party Committee and leaders of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police promptly advised Party Committees and authorities at all levels to propose many policies and measures to direct fire prevention, fighting, rescue and salvage work in the area; effectively implemented plans and work topics; actively promoted propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on fire prevention, fighting, rescue and salvage, and increasingly developed the movement of all people participating in fire prevention and fighting work.

Over the past year, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force has dispatched 127 vehicles and 834 officers and soldiers to participate in fire fighting, rescue, and protect people's lives and property. Three interdisciplinary inspection teams have been established, conducting 6,686 inspections, issuing 214 administrative violation reports, and imposing fines of VND 651.5 million. Along with that, fire prevention work has always received due attention, gradually raising people's awareness of fire prevention and fighting in the area, contributing significantly to ensuring stability of security and order, fire safety in the area, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Tan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security praised the achievements of the Nghe An Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police and requested: In 2015, the Nghe An Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force will continue to closely follow the local political tasks, improve the effectiveness of the work of grasping and forecasting the situation comprehensively and in depth; strengthen the inspection and examination of fire safety conditions, resolutely and strictly handle violations; In particular, the Nghe An Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force needs to overcome the difficulties of a newly established force, improve the quality and efficiency of the civil defense team, grassroots and specialized fire prevention and fighting teams. Organize training courses, foster professional skills in fire prevention, fighting and rescue for this force. At the same time, it is necessary to absolutely ensure fire safety and rescue, protect the Lunar New Year, festivals in early 2015, protect Party congresses at all levels and major events taking place in the area; contain fires and minimize damage caused by fires.
