The deadline for candidates to register for the national high school exam is before April 15.
According to the draft Regulations on the National High School Exam that have just been discussed by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), there are a number of changes compared to the initially announced draft.
In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training plans to organize examination clusters including: Inter-provincial examination clusters (for candidates from at least two provinces) and provincial examination clusters for candidates taking the exam to be considered for recognition of high school graduation (in case of request from the Provincial People's Committee). For particularly difficult areas, the Ministry of Education and Training will agree with the Provincial People's Committee to set up suitable examination locations, creating the most convenience for candidates. The Ministry of Education and Training assigns the task of chairing examination clusters to universities.
Notably, the deadline for receiving candidates' registration documents is before April 15 every year (instead of before April 1). In addition, candidates' essay and multiple-choice tests will be graded on a 10-point scale (instead of a 20-point scale) with odd scores up to 0.25; scores will not be rounded up. Candidates who are eligible to take the test, have not been disciplined from the level of exam cancellation or higher, and do not have any test scores of one point or lower will have the graduation score prescribed for each recognized graduation category...
