North and South Korea begin talks at Panmunjom
South Korea and North Korea began working-level talks at the truce village of Panmunjom on July 6, Xinhua reported.
According to Yonhap news agency, the two sides will discuss ways to normalize operations at the joint industrial park in the border town of Kaesong, which has been shut down for about three months.

Previously, experts from the two Koreas met on June 9 at Panmunjom to discuss ministerial-level talks, but the two sides could not agree on details.
China's Foreign Ministry quoted North Korean First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan as saying on June 19 that Pyongyang is willing to resolve disputes over its nuclear program peacefully through negotiations, including returning to the stalled six-party talks.
