Dozens of people in Ha Tinh poisoned by contaminated food
Authorities determined that food at the funeral was contaminated with Salmonella bacteria that causes typhoid fever, poisoning more than 50 people.
On March 25, about 100 people from Hoa Hai commune attended a memorial service at Mr. Dang Van Anh's house. The next day, more than 50 people suffered from stomachaches and nausea and were taken to medical facilities for examination, while others treated themselves at home.

There are currently 41 patients being treated at Huong Khe District General Hospital.
