Dozens of Vietnamese fishing boats chased by Chinese ships
On the morning of May 22, news from the Quang Binh Department of Exploitation and Protection of Aquatic Resources said that in recent days, in Vietnam's Hoang Sa fishing grounds, Chinese ships have frequently chased and obstructed many fishing boats of fishermen in Quang Binh province.
Accordingly, at 3:00 p.m. on May 20, the Coastal Station communicated and exchanged information with ships participating in fishing activities in distant waters and received some information about Chinese ships frequently obstructing fishermen's ships while they were fishing at sea.
In the sea area from latitude 17°00 N to 17°26 N; longitude 110°20 E to 110°31 E, at 14:00 to 16:30, a white Chinese ship numbered 2401 came to obstruct and chase the fishing boats of Quang Binh fishermen.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Chau, owner of the ship with registration number QB 91399 TS, at 2:00 p.m., a Chinese ship chased 20 fishing boats from Bao Ninh commune (Dong Hoi city) and Duc Trach commune (Bo Trach district) at position 17°06 N; 110°32 E.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, owner of the ship with registration number QB 93990 TS, at 4:00 p.m., the Chinese ship chased 7 fishing boats from Canh Duong commune (Quang Trach district) at position 17°20 N; 110°26 E.
Although being continuously chased by Chinese fishing boats, our fishing boats have found ways to avoid them, so they are still safe and are currently continuing to stick to fishing grounds to exploit aquatic resources in Vietnamese waters.
