Rocket Cave: The Sadness of Rock

The place where they fell has been recognized as a national historical site, but the restoration and embellishment work is still inadequate and not worthy of its status. And if the rocks are not lifeless, they must be sad because of the moss and loneliness here.

With the consciousness that the 33 Youth Volunteer Soldiers are their own relatives, for over 50 years, the Railway and Hoang Mai Stone Quarry (Hoang Mai Stone Enterprise, now Hoang Mai Stone Joint Stock Company) have considered the Fire Rocket Cave Relic Complex as a sacred place, "a place to turn to", constantly investing, maintaining and embellishing.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Director of Hoang Mai Stone Joint Stock Company, said: It is impossible to calculate exactly how much the Railway industry and the company have spent on the project. We only know that every now and then the Railway industry launches a campaign to donate working days to carry out the renovation. As for the company, every year it still allocates funds for maintenance, painting, as well as taking care of the incense and lights here. On full moon days, holidays, and New Year's, the industry and the company take care of the relic complex to always be warm, so that the Youth Volunteers are less lonely...
