(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the Campaign to prioritize using Vietnamese goods, goods originating from Vietnam have accounted for 90% of the total goods in supermarkets; and 70% in markets and rural markets.

On the morning of December 25, under the chairmanship of comrades Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee of the Campaign; Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front, Deputy Steering Committee of the Campaign, Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" summarized the activities in 2018 and deployed the tasks in 2019.

In 2018, the campaign received the active participation and response of organizations and individuals in the province. The awareness of the political system, people and consumers about prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods has been raised, goods originating in Vietnam have accounted for 90% of the total goods in supermarkets; 70% in markets and rural markets.

Enterprises' awareness of investing in, improving the quality and competitiveness of goods, fulfilling commitments to protect consumer rights as well as building product brands has had positive changes.

In particular, through the Campaign, patriotism has been strongly promoted, making an important contribution to helping the province's economy maintain stability, promote production and service development, form economic relations, ensure consumer rights and promote growth models in industry, services, agriculture, rural economy, and job creation.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, Head of the Steering Committee of the Campaign, emphasized: In addition to the achieved results, the Campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods still has some limitations. The work of propagating and promoting products produced by domestic and provincial enterprises has not been focused on. The work of fighting against counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, and goods that do not ensure food safety and hygiene is still limited...

In the 2019 action program, it is necessary to strengthen the dissemination of the Campaign's content to all classes of people. Focus on propaganda so that consumers know and correctly evaluate the quality of products, goods, services, production and business capacity of enterprises in the province and in the country.

Continue to encourage consumers to use quality Vietnamese goods, considering it a manifestation of patriotism; agencies, units and socio-political organizations to use Vietnamese goods when making public purchases. This is also an important driving force for the development of production and circulation of Vietnamese goods.

He also requested solutions to strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels for the Campaign, as well as promote coordination and integration of the Campaign's content into regular activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations.
