Specifically, Hanoi City will change from 4 to 24, Ho Chi Minh City will change from 8 to 28, Da Nang will change from 511 to 236, Hai Phong will change from 31 to 225, Can Tho will change from 710 to 292, Thua Thien - Hue will change from 54 to 234, Quang Ninh will change from 33 to 203, Thanh Hoa will change from 37 to 237, Khanh Hoa will change from 58 to 258, Lam Dong will change from 63 to 263, Cao Bang will change from 26 to 206, Ca Mau will change from 780 to 290...

The landline area code in Hanoi will be 24 from March 1, 2015.

However, there are also some provinces that do not change their fixed area codes such as Hoa Binh (still 218), Vinh Phuc (211), Ha Giang (219), Phu Tho (210).

Also according to this plan, the number of subscribers to the terrestrial fixed telecommunications network will be 7 or 8 digits long; The number of subscribers to the satellite fixed telecommunications network will be 7 digits long; The number of subscribers to the terrestrial mobile telecommunications network used for telecommunications subscribers will be 7 digits long. Particularly, the telecommunications network used exclusively by the Party, State agencies, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Public Security will use subscriber numbers with 5, 6 or 7 digits long depending on the scale of each network and the application phase.

The emergency service number is a 3-digit national service number, specifically: 112 is the search and rescue service number; 113 is the police service number; 114 is the fire service number; 115 is the medical emergency service number.

In addition, the mandatory customer support service number is also specified as 3 digits, including: 101 is the service number for registering domestic calls via telephone operators; 110 is the service number for registering international calls via telephone operators; 116 is the service number for looking up landline telephone subscriber numbers; 119 is the service number for reporting a broken landline telephone number. The mandatory customer support service number is a shared number.

The Department of Telecommunications is the unit assigned by the Ministry of Information and Communications to manage, allocate and revoke telecommunication codes and numbers in accordance with this Plan. Every year, the Department must publicly announce the allocation and use of telecommunication codes and numbers.
