Thousands of students from Nghe An College of Education participate in volunteering

(Baonghean.vn) - In the 2015 volunteer campaign, thousands of students from Nghe An College of Education participated in volunteer programs, going to remote villages to support poor people.

On the evening of October 15, the Youth Union and Student Association of Nghe An College of Education held a conference to summarize the 2015 summer volunteer campaign and deploy the work of the Youth Union and Association for the 2015-2016 school year.

The Youth Union and Student Association of Nghe An College of Education received Certificates of Merit from the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam Student Association.

In the 2015 summer volunteer campaign, the Youth Union and Student Association of Nghe An College of Education successfully completed the programs Supporting Exam Season and Green Summer in remote districts, achieving many meaningful results.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Provincial Youth Union, Party Committee, School Board of Directors and many volunteer students.

During the 2015 Exam Support Program, the school's volunteer teams provided consultations to 9,284 candidates and their parents; introduced 1,456 lodgings to candidates and their parents, including 680 free accommodations; and provided 940 free pick-up and drop-off services to candidates and their families.

In the Green Summer program, 60 volunteer students of the school participated in volunteering in Luu Kien, Nga My communes (Tuong Duong district) and Tien Phong (Que Phong district).

Here, volunteers organized summer cultural classes for 55 preschool students, 195 primary school students, 65 secondary school students; organized 15 life skills education sessions for 214 teenagers; presented 16 gifts to policy households and poor students overcoming difficulties; cleaned more than 14km of roads, coordinated with local people to collect 500kg of all kinds of garbage; planted 3 hectares of forest, and greened bare hills.

The Youth Union, Student Union of Nghe An College of Education and 6 volunteers were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Youth Union and Central Student Union. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to the collective of Youth Union members of the School for their outstanding achievements in the 2015 Summer Volunteer Campaign.

Implementing the work of the 2015-2016 school year, the Youth Union and Student Association of Nghe An College of Education called on all youth union members and students of the school to actively implement the movement "5 Good Students": Practicing good ethics, good study, good physical strength, good skills and good integration./.
