According to AFP, Sony is offering the A5100, advertised as the world's smallest interchangeable lens camera.

With a 180-degree rotating screen and built-in NFC technology, this device promises to be a worthy competitor in image quality with D-SLR cameras.

The Sony A5100 camera features an ultra-slim, ultra-compact design, a Fast Hybrid autofocus system with a focus time of just 0.07 seconds, and a 24.3 million pixel sensor.

The camera's LCD touchscreen can rotate 180 degrees around its axis, allowing you to take photos from any position. Data transfer is also easier than ever thanks to the built-in NFC technology and Wifi connection.

The device's One-Touch connectivity is also a notable feature, allowing users to activate the smart remote control function to take photos via smartphone or tablet.

In addition to JPEG format, the Sony A5100 camera also supports saving photos in RAW format without losing image quality. The camera can also be used to record video in the highest format, Full HD (1080p).

The camera is expected to go on sale in mid-September, priced at $549 for the body alone./.
