High quality Vietnamese goods have not yet "covered" rural markets
(Baonghean) - Observation at Vuc Market (Hung Xa, Hung Nguyen) is one of the traditional markets that has existed for a long time, continuously held 30 times a month with hundreds of stalls selling all kinds of goods, meeting the consumption needs of local people and neighboring communes. However, in addition to locally available agricultural products and food, the amount of essential domestic consumer goods can only be counted on the fingers, the rest are still popular cheap foreign goods, goods of unknown origin.
We walked past more than a dozen clothing stalls to ask where to buy Hanoximex men's tank tops, but all of them shook their heads. On the contrary, "Made in China" goods, from underwear, socks, gloves to more expensive items such as dishes, electric fans, rice cookers... are very diverse in types, widely sold and chosen by many consumers...
With low income, the goods that rural consumers care about the most are prices. If there is a difference of just a few thousand VND/product or more, they are willing to switch to cheaper products without paying attention to quality or labels, brands... Visit Can market, Mi market (Hung Nguyen district), Do market, Rong market (Dong Nai district).
Implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the Department of Industry and Trade has deployed a number of mobile sales points, the program "Bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside" in districts and towns... But it can be said that these sales points are only "illustrative", likened to "trading" in batches without having a sales plan, linking and building a long-term distribution system. Therefore, when the fair ends, consumers return to their old habits, preferring cheap goods and paying little attention to the quality of the goods.
In order for consumers to have the habit of using high-quality Vietnamese goods, first of all, all levels of sectors and organizations must propagate to rural people, how to make them understand and choose domestically produced goods, boycott consumption of poor quality goods of unknown origin. On the other hand, manufacturing enterprises, especially enterprises in the province, need to focus more on promoting their products to all classes of people by diversifying distribution channels.
