Passengers through Vinh Airport increased significantly during the September 2 holiday.
(Baonghean.vn) - During the National Day holiday on September 2, the number of passengers passing through Vinh Airport increased significantly compared to normal days.
According to Vinh Airport, during the holiday, there are an average of 35 takeoffs and landings per day. The number of flights does not increase, but all flights are fully booked, reaching 100% passenger capacity, up 20% compared to normal days. The peak period from September 1 to September 4, 2017 is expected to have more than 22,000 passengers.
The increased flights are mainly on domestic routes Vinh - Ho Chi Minh, Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Da Lat, Vinh - Nha Trang, Vinh - Buon Ma Thuot, Vinh - Da Nang... and vice versa. Before the holiday, from August 31 to September 1, passengers mainly returned and after the holiday on September 3-4, passengers departed.

Mr. Phan Dang Bao Quang - Chief of Office of Vinh Airport shared: To improve service quality, prevent traffic jams and overload, Vinh Airport has deployed a series of solutions to arrange, organize and streamline traffic reasonably to facilitate passengers to pick up and drop off in the airport area; strengthen inspection and supervision of runways, taxiways and aircraft parking areas.
In addition, we actively coordinate with units operating at the airport to develop a plan to guide customers through the procedures to best serve the travel needs of the people. In general, the service is stable, passengers arrive on time, and there is no congestion in the terminal.
In August this year, the number of passengers passing through the port increased slightly compared to 2016, but the number of flights decreased sharply. If in August 2016 there were 1,000 takeoffs and landings, in 2017 there were 874 flights, a decrease of 13%./.
