Journey across Vietnam - From Sen Village to Nha Rong Wharf
Starting from July 2, 2011, the journey will go through 16 provinces and cities along National Highway 1A from Nghe An - Ho Chi Minh City, with more than 1,560 km, in 43 days.
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country, the 50th anniversary of Agent Orange/dioxin Day in Vietnam, and responding to the United Nations' decade of traffic safety are the three main goals of the Green Journey across Vietnam 2011 program - From Sen Village to Ben Nha Rong organized by the Green Journey Vietnam Social Activity Organization, under the Oriental Culture Research Institute.
Ms. Huynh Thi Kieu Thu, musician Nguyen Cuong, Miss Mai Phuong Thuy, Miss Truong Chi Truc Diem, MC Thanh Bach, actor Quyen Linh are Ambassadors of this program.
Cycling across Vietnam in 2010 - "Journey of youth for the homeland" arrived in Hanoi Capital.
Officially starting from July 2, 2011 with a launching ceremony in Hanoi, the journey will go through 16 provinces and cities along National Highway 1A from Nghe An to Ho Chi Minh City, with more than 1,560 km, within 43 days. The program has the participation of 1,000 volunteers who are young people, people from provinces and cities nationwide, along with thousands of collaborators from all provinces and cities. Notably, the oldest person in the group is 78-year-old Huynh Thi Kieu Mien.
In addition to the above main purposes, the program also carries out propaganda activities on: environmental protection, popularizing community information technology. In the provinces, the Union will organize walks for the environment; cycling parades for traffic safety, organizing charity concerts for Agent Orange victims; mobilizing text messages to support Agent Orange victims via the national electronic information portal 1409...
