(Baonghean.vn) - The Secretariat of Nghe An Newspaper recently visited Trang An Eco-tourism Area, Ninh Binh Province. The reporter recorded images of Trang An Eco-tourism Area.

Located about 7 km from Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An Eco-tourism Area is located in Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province. This place not only preserves the historical vestiges of a capital with three dynasties: Dinh, Le, Ly but is also a very attractive cultural, spiritual and ecological tourist destination.

Trang An tourist area has a total area of 1961 hectares, with about 50 caves out of nearly 100 caves with water, connected by nearly 30 valleys (now nearly 30 lakes). Unlike Tam Coc, Trang An can form a closed water journey without having to turn back. This cave complex is likened to a Bagua formation. The mountain ranges, lakes, water and caves form a continuous formation. Each lake is a different ink painting of the mountain shape, mountain shape and lake. Clouds, sky, green mountains, blue water blend together, appearing and disappearing. The caves have different lengths and each has its own beauty such as: Ba Giot cave, Dia Linh cave, Toi cave, Sang cave, Ao Trai cave, Seo cave, Si cave, Sinh cave, Thuoc cave... Many caves have stalactites flowing from above, stacked layer by layer, soft and shiny, each person can imagine different shapes. Toi cave has the longest length with more than 300 m.

At the wharf, visitors buy a ticket for 100,000 VND each and the Management Board will arrange for 5 people to sit on a small boat driven by a local boatman. With skillful and flexible movements, the boatman will use his hands and feet to control the boat to glide smoothly on the lake, passing through the narrow spaces of the caves. According to the boatman named Vinh, there are more than 1,500 boats at the wharf every day ready to serve tourists. In the first days of the year, especially on Saturdays and Sundays, the boats operate continuously, sometimes not meeting the needs of tourists. Many foreign tourists, such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, British, Australians are very excited to be immersed in the majestic natural scenery of mountains, rivers and caves, like a fairyland here.

The farthest and most impressive stop on our trip to Trang An tourist area is Tran Temple. Tran Temple was built by King Dinh Tien Hoang at the same time as Hung Temple. Later, King Tran Thai Tong came here to establish Vu Lam palace and continued to renovate it to be more majestic, so it was called Tran Temple. Tran Temple is the place to worship Quy Minh god, the god who guards the southern gate of Hoa Lu Tu Tran. The temple is also called Noi Lam Temple (together with Vu Lam, Van Lam formed Tam Lam under the Tran Dynasty).

In Tran Temple, there are 4 stone pillars that are more than 700 years old, carved very delicately. To reach Tran Temple, visitors must climb 361 towering stone steps. During the trip, we also visited Phu Khong Temple. Phu Khong is the place to worship 7 loyal mandarins of Dinh Dynasty, associated with legends when King Dinh Tien Hoang passed away, 7 mandarins in the court carried many coffins to be buried in different directions and then committed suicide to keep the secrets of the real tomb. A general guarding the southern citadel was extremely moved by the chivalry of the 7 loyal mandarins and immediately set up an incense burner to worship here. After this general passed away, the people in the area built a temple and planted fig trees right in front of the Palace to commemorate the loyal mandarins.

The special thing is that the Trang An tourist complex in general and the Trang An cave complex in particular are located near other tourist areas of Ninh Binh, such as: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Historical Site, Van Long Wetland Ecotourism Area, Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area, Dong Chuong Lake, Cuc Phuong National Park... Currently, the Trang An ecotourism area is being continued by investors to build many items, such as Trinh Temple, Phu Khong Temple with a more grandiose scale. According to the assessment of tourism experts: Trang An tourist complex, after completion, will become a comprehensive tourist area of national and international stature.

However, the current security management in Trang An Ecotourism Area is not good, theft is rampant, in one day hundreds of tourists lost their wallets and documents, especially foreign tourists. The loudspeaker system to warn tourists is not arranged by the company that organizes and operates the tourist area. The company also does not invite the police force to coordinate patrols to ensure the safety of tourists. This is greatly affecting the image of an attractive ecotourism destination like Trang An for tourists, especially international tourists.
