Quy Chau Forest Ranger Department: Handing over red-eyed monkeys to Pu Mat National Park

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of April 22, the Forest Protection Department of Quy Chau district organized the handover of a red-eyed male monkey weighing 5kg, a rare wild animal species listed in the world's Red Book, to Pu Mat National Park.

This is the monkey that Mr. Ho Duc Duc in Hamlet 34, Chau Binh Commune bought from a local resident. After being informed by the local forest rangers that this is a group 2B animal, on the list of especially rare and endangered animals that are protected in the world, Mr. Duc handed it over to the authorities on April 18.

This monkey will be cared for and released into the wild.

After completing the procedures to receive the red-eyed monkey, the Pu Mat National Park wildlife rescue team will take care of it and release it back into the wild at the appropriate time.
