Please help two orphans
(Baonghean.vn) -Their father died, and their mother passed away shortly after, leaving Sam Thi Binh and Sam Thi An as orphans. Binh had to drop out of school in the middle of 10th grade and showed signs of depression, while Sam Thi An (4th grade) may have had to drop out of school to earn a living.
We went to the house of Mr. Sam Van Xuan (Thai ethnic) in Nong Trang village (Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, Nghe An). In the house, there were only the old man and his two grandchildren Binh and An, both orphans.
Mr. Sam Van Xuan and his two orphaned grandchildren
Sam Thi Binh and Sam Thi An.
After a few polite questions from us, Mr. Sam Van Xuan choked up in tears: "It's so hard, guys, the white-haired one sends off the green-haired one. The couple's fate is so unfortunate. I don't know how the two children will live. When I die, who will take care of them? Relatives and neighbors are pooling their money so that my grandfather and I can get by."
Pausing for a moment, the old man said: In 1996, Mr. Sam Van Hoa and Ms. Sam Thi Minh (the parents of the two children) became friends in the hunger and suffering of a poor rural area in Chau Binh. The children's father followed his friends to mine gold in Chau Hanh commune, Chau Hoan and even Que Phong district, or worked as a hired hand to earn a living, while the children's mother worked more than 2 sao of rice fields but still did not have enough to eat. Due to working hard to raise her children, in 2011, after a serious illness, Mr. Hoa passed away. After less than a year of mourning her husband, in April 2012, the cancer had entered the final stage, she was treated for nearly a month at the provincial hospital and spent tens of millions of dong, then Ms. Minh also passed away, leaving behind 2 orphaned children of school age.
Losing their father and mother, the thatched house of the two sisters is no longer enough to shelter them from the sun and rain. Feeling sorry for the two orphaned grandchildren, Mr. Xuan took them home to raise, but now he is also suffering from a very serious heart disease, and he does not know when they will live or die. Meanwhile, with no relatives left, Mr. Xuan lives alone, so he is afraid that if he dies, no one will take care of his grandchildren. Understanding his feelings, Sam Thi Binh is studying in class 10C1 (school year 2011 - 2012), always an excellent student at the district's Ethnic Minority High School, but had to drop out of school to work to earn money to support her younger sister's education. Feeling sorry for her sister's hard work, after each school day, Sam Thi An takes the time to pick vegetables and collect firewood to sell at the market to earn more money to help her sister.
When asked, Binh burst into tears: I really want to go to school, but where can I get the money? My grandfather is old and weak, and my younger siblings are still too young!
Saying goodbye to the children, we can only hope that everyone will extend their arms to help the three grandparents and grandchildren in dire straits, like a flickering oil lamp in the storm, helping them overcome this difficult period.
