At the meeting, the District People's Council assessed the performance of the District People's Council and People's Committee in the first 6 months of the year in terms of economy, politics, culture and society; the results of the work of the District Fatherland Front Committee in participating in government building; reported the results of implementing voters' opinions at the 6th session and explained voters' recommendations before the 7th session.

The report at the meeting stated that since the beginning of the year, the socio-economic situation in Anh Son district has continued to grow well. The growth rate reached 8.96%, the state budget revenue in the area reached 12,622 million VND, reaching 51% of the district's estimate, reaching 67% of the province's estimate, up 30% over the same period; food production was 47,499 tons, reaching 102% of the plan, up 3% over the same period. The work of building new rural areas has had many positive changes, the number of communes meeting 10 or more criteria is increasing.
Speaking at the opening of the session, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council requested the delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility towards voters and people, actively participate in discussions, promote democracy, focus their intelligence on key issues in the session's agenda, creating an important legal basis for the District People's Committee to implement.
At this session, for the first time, the People's Council of Anh Son district organized a vote of confidence for the person holding the position elected by the People's Council according to the resolution of the National Assembly; organized questions and answers on issues of concern to voters.
