Anh Son District People's Council held the 9th session of the 17th term

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 18, the People's Council of Anh Son district held the 9th session, term XVII, to evaluate the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year and solutions for implementing tasks in the last 6 months of 2014.

Attending the meeting were delegates of the Provincial People's Council elected in Anh Son, Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Secretary of the District Party Committee, along with leaders of departments, agencies and units located in the area; delegates of the 17th District People's Council, Mr. Dau Van Thong, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council chaired the meeting.

The report at the meeting stated that in the first 6 months of the year, despite many difficulties and challenges, Anh Son district's economy continued to grow well. The total production value is expected to reach 1,804.1 billion VND, up 8.8% over the same period, the economic structure has shifted in the right direction and positively. Budget revenue is estimated at 16,154 million VND, reaching 60% of the district's estimate, reaching 70% of the province's estimate, up 28% over the same period. Total food output is 37,825 tons, reaching 77% of the yearly plan, reaching 80% over the same period, the spring rice crop is bumper. The application of scientific and technological advances in production has made many positive advances. 9 communes have completed 100% of the transformation plan. The movement to build roads has developed strongly and effectively. Up to now, the whole district has built and upgraded 103.8 km of rural roads and 24.2 km of irrigation canals. The district has launched a movement to maintain and repair rural roads with initial good results. Administrative reform has been strengthened. Social culture has had many positive changes. National defense and security have been maintained.

In the last 6 months of the year, Anh Son district will focus on implementing 11 main tasks such as: Completing targets according to the project and action program to implement the Resolution of the 19th District Party Congress, promoting the implementation of the New Rural Construction Program, accelerating the progress of basic construction, especially unfinished projects, strengthening inspection, supervision and budget transparency in all fields....
