- On June 23, the People's Council of Con Cuong district, term XVIII, 2011 - 2015, held its first session. At the session, the People's Council elected Mr. Vi Xuan Giap, born in 1957, former Chairman of the People's Council, term XVII, to be re-elected as Chairman of the People's Council, term XVIII, and elected Mr. Hoang Dinh Tuan, born in 1962, former Chairman of the People's Committee, term 2004 - 2011, to be re-elected as Chairman of the People's Committee, term 2011 - 2016;

- At the first session of the 2011-2016 term of the People's CouncilQuynh Luu district elected Mr. Vo Van Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee - Head of the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, term XVIII, with 98% of the votes. Mr. Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee continued to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee, term 2011 - 2016 with 100% of the votes. The District People's Council also elected 3 positions of Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee and 5 members of the District People's Committee with the number of votes reaching 95% or more.
