Dien Chau and Nam Dan District People's Councils hold 2nd session
(Baonghean) -The People's Council of Dien Chau district, term 18, 2011 - 2016, has just held its 2nd session.
In the first 6 months of the year, despite the general impact of inflation and natural disasters, with the direction of the authorities and the efforts of the people, the district's production value is estimated to reach nearly 1,400 billion VND, reaching 52.3% of the plan, up 12.6% over the same period in 2010. The agriculture - forestry - fishery sector increased by 3.5%; industry - handicraft increased by 16.7%, service sectors increased by 16.4%, construction increased by 17.5%. Total budget revenue of more than 77 billion VND reached 74.56% of the plan assigned by the province. The education sector was recognized by the province as an excellent advanced unit. Creating jobs for nearly 2,200 workers. Reducing the poverty rate to 19.26%.
The meeting also focused on analyzing existing problems and providing solutions for the remaining months of 2011.
The 2nd session of Nam Dan District People's Council assessed:In the past 6 months, despite the harsh weather and complicated livestock and poultry epidemics, with the great efforts of the Party Committee and the people, Nam Dan's socio-economic situation still achieved quite comprehensive results: the economy continued to grow strongly with an estimated production value of 885,819 million VND, reaching 54.05% of the yearly plan, up 44.34% over the same period in 2010; socio-cultural aspects have made much progress, with 5 more schools achieving the title of "friendly school, active students", 18 teachers and 112 students achieving the title of excellent teachers and excellent students at the provincial level.
With the spirit of innovation and democracy, the delegates discussed enthusiastically, questioned and answered questions revolving around issues that voters are currently concerned about and reached high consensus, proposing important resolutions to strive to complete the socio-economic plan for the last 6 months of 2011.
