The 18th Quynh Luu District People's Council held its 2nd session
This morning, July 27, the People's Council of Quynh Luu district, term XVIII, held its second session, focusing on assessing the implementation of the socio-economic, defense and security plans in the first 6 months of the year; approving the 2010 State budget settlement; and discussing solutions for the last 6 months of 2011.
(Baonghean) -This morning, July 27, the People's Council of Quynh Luu district, term XVIII, held its second session, focusing on assessing the implementation of the socio-economic, defense and security plans in the first 6 months of the year; approving the 2010 State budget settlement; and discussing solutions for the last 6 months of 2011.
In the first 6 months of the year, Quynh Luu had to face many difficulties and challenges, but with the efforts and struggles of the whole district, the district's economy continued to achieve high growth, culture and society had many positive changes, and political security was stable. The total production value of the whole district reached over 2,500 billion VND, an increase of 14.6% over the same period. The economic structure continued to shift in a positive direction. The winter-spring crop was a good harvest, with rice yield reaching 65.85 quintals/ha, the highest ever. Food output reached over 70,000 tons, and aquaculture output was nearly 21,000 tons. Total budget revenue reached over 405 billion VND, an increase of 32% over the same period. Total investment value reached more than 1,500 billion VND, up 46.9% over the same period, of which investment was concentrated in 83 projects, with an implementation value of 629 billion VND.
In the field of culture and society, the whole district has 471 hamlets with cultural houses attached to playgrounds and training grounds; 77 schools have met standards, 33 communes have met national standards on health, the birth rate of the third child or more has decreased by 2.4%, the rate of malnourished children has decreased by 0.5% compared to the same period. Solving the problem of lending nearly 20 billion VND to over 1,300 poor households for poverty reduction capital, creating jobs for 1,560 workers; issuing over 111,000 health insurance cards to the poor, meritorious people and children under 6 years old.
Promoting the achieved results, the District People's Council has proposed many solutions to complete the tasks in the last 6 months of the year, focusing on promoting all resources, overcoming difficulties, striving to complete and exceed the targets of the 2011 socio-economic development plan.
