(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 30, the 18th term People's Council of Yen Thanh district held its 10th session to comprehensively evaluate the People's Council's activities, the results of the district's socio-economic, defense and security tasks in 2014; key tasks in 2015 and approve important reports, proposals and resolutions.

Overview of the conference

In 2014, the activities of the District People's Council had many innovations, gradually promoting the role of the state power agency in deciding and supervising important local issues. The district's economy continued to be stable and maintained its growth rate, culture and society made many advances, political security and social order in the area were maintained.

The growth rate reached 13%, reaching 100% of the plan. The economic structure shifted in the right direction: reducing agriculture, forestry and fishery, increasing industry, construction, trade and services. Budget revenue reached over 200 billion VND, exceeding the province's assigned expenditure. Implementing the national target program on new rural construction, up to now, the whole district has completed 437 criteria, reaching 61.7%, 12 communes have completed from 15 to 19 criteria, 1 commune has met the new rural standards, the communes of Phuc, Nam, Do, Nhan, Long have been recognized by the province as new rural communes.
