Reporting to the working group on the situation of teaching and learning according to the VNEN model, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong - Principal of Hung Dung 1 Primary School said: The school has 1,035 students, 31 classrooms with 31 full-day classes; 68 staff, teachers, and employees, of which 49 are on the payroll. The school is one of the first schools in Vinh City to be selected to pilot teaching and learning according to the VNEN model.
After 3 years of implementation, the results show that the model has basically been effective and achieved good quality. In each school year, 99.8% - 100% of students completed the program, many students achieved high scores in city and provincial level exams.
Most parents agree with the implementation of the new teaching method. However, besides the advantages, there are still some limitations in terms of facilities, textbooks and curriculum. In the 2016-2017 school year, parents of 3/31 classes did not agree to implement the VNEN model.

However, applying the group learning method has caused some problems, making it difficult for students to sit properly and observe the lesson. In addition, learning materials are not fully equipped.

Teacher Ninh Viet Tang also reported that in early September, more than 290 parents of 9 classes submitted a petition to relevant authorities to stop teaching the VNEN model. Parents were worried about the quality of their children's learning, the examination mechanism, limited facilities, and classes not suitable for the VNEN model...
The school and teachers met and talked with parents, explaining the characteristics of the VNEN teaching model, but parents still asked the school not to apply this model.
Therefore, the school and parents have not found a common voice. Teacher Ninh Viet Tang suggested that relevant authorities consider coordinating with the school to find solutions in applying the VNEN teaching model so that the school's staff and teachers can stabilize their thinking and focus on their work.
Parents participating in the survey proposed that relevant levels and sectors make clear decisions and instructions on whether or not to apply the VNEN teaching model at the two schools, so that parents, students and teachers can stabilize their psychology and feel secure in taking care of their children's studies.

At the end of the monitoring, comrade Ho Phuc Hop recorded the feedback from the relevant parties to synthesize and prepare for the next session of the Provincial People's Council. He also suggested that before the authorities have reasonable solutions, parents need to continue to coordinate well with the school to improve the quality of their children's education./.
