People's Council of Cua Lo Town, Term IV: Opening of the 12th session, term 2011 - 2016

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 6, the People's Council of Cua Lo Town, term IV, opened its 12th session, term 2011 - 2016.

Implementing the resolution of the 4th term of the Town People's Council, in the first 6 months of 2015, the socio-economic development targets of Cua Lo were basically achieved and exceeded. Total production value reached nearly 3,000 billion VND, up 12.6% over the same period in 2014; of which service sectors reached 1,299.5 billion VND, up 12.8%; budget revenue reached 120 billion, up 10.1% over the same period last year; socio-cultural development was good, political security, social order and safety were ensured.

In addition to focusing on evaluating the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security, and budget revenue and expenditure, the People's Council of the town also reviewed reports on receiving petitions and resolving complaints and denunciations from citizens; the fight against corruption and practicing thrift and fighting waste in the first 6 months of the year, and the directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2015; on that basis, the People's Council of the town questioned issues of concern to voters and simultaneously dismissed and elected additional positions of members of the People's Committee. At the same time, the People's Council of Cua Lo town, term IV, focused on discussing a number of other important local issues, and developed and approved resolutions of the session.
