Provincial People's Council supervises fire prevention and fighting work at Nghe An Police

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 13, the Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee had a working session with Nghe An Provincial Police on fire prevention and fighting work.

In recent times, Nghe An Police have advised, directed and organized the serious and effective implementation of fire prevention and fighting and rescue work in the area. The provincial police have directed the police of units and localities to proactively coordinate with all levels and sectors to carry out many propaganda activities, instruct on fire prevention and fighting, creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of agencies, enterprises and people in fire prevention and fighting work, building a mass fire prevention and fighting movement; regularly inspect fire prevention and fighting work and the production and business sectors using industrial explosives in the area. Timely detect and strictly handle violations and request immediate correction of loopholes and shortcomings in state management of fire prevention and fighting and management of industrial explosives; Well implement the regime of directly receiving fire alarms and promptly dispatching fire trucks to hundreds of fires in the area, minimizing human and property damage worth billions of VND.

The monitoring delegation focused on evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of fire prevention and fighting work in Nghe An.

Concluding the monitoring session, Mr. Nguyen Huu Lam acknowledged the results achieved by Nghe An Provincial Police in fire prevention and fighting, and at the same time proposed a number of issues that the Provincial Police, especially the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police and Rescue Force, need to pay attention to, such as: Paying more attention to propaganda work to raise people's awareness of fire prevention and fighting; Advising the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to improve the direction of fire prevention and fighting; Further strengthening the coordination relationship between relevant agencies; strictly and regularly inspecting fire prevention and fighting in key areas such as markets, petrol kiosks, large factories, etc.
