Provincial People's Council surveyed resettlement area and Dong Hoi industrial park.
(Baonghean) -Preparing for the 3rd session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, on the afternoon of November 24, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the Ethnic Council of the Provincial People's Council surveyed the resettlement area and Dong Hoi industrial park in Quynh Luu.
Before the working session, the delegation visited the resettlement area and Dong Hoi industrial park. According to the planning announcement, Dong Hoi industrial park has a total area of over 1,400 hectares, located in Quynh Loc and Quynh Lap communes, Quynh Luu district. Currently, there are 4 investment projects in the industrial park, including the unburnt brick factory project, Cobe steel factory, thermal power plant and Dong Hoi port construction project. Within the planned area of the industrial park, there are more than 700 households subject to relocation. Quynh Luu district People's Committee has arranged 2 resettlement areas in Quynh Lap commune with a total area of over 80 hectares in Quyet Tam, Tan Long and Tam Hop hamlets. The total investment capital for the construction of the 2 resettlement areas is nearly 500 billion VND, ensuring full infrastructure of electricity, roads, schools and stations. However, after the land is recovered for the resettlement area, Quynh Lap commune will become a non-agricultural commune. The main industry of the commune will be seafood exploitation, so people's lives will face many difficulties.
At the meeting, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district proposed that there should be a plan to solve employment problems, and have separate mechanisms and policies for people in the resettlement area of Quynh Lap commune because this is also a special and difficult area.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh suggested that the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district should review the compensation work, quickly resolve policies for the people; continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work and carefully prepare relocation plans, especially in the project of building a non-fired brick factory to both ensure the rights of the people and ensure development.
