(Baonghean.vn) - On February 25, the Ethnic Committee of the People's Council of Nghe An province, led by comrade Moong Van Hoi - Head of the Committee, conducted a survey of the reinforced staff of the Nghe An Border Guard force.

Since 1999, Nghe An Border Guard has been strengthening its staff in border communes. Currently, there are 23 commune-strengthened cadres (of which 21 hold the positions of secretary and deputy secretary) and 53 party members have transferred to villages, hamlets and religious areas.

This team of cadres has quickly approached and promoted a good sense of responsibility, dedication, and effort, gaining the trust of local cadres, party members, and people. Through their activities, they have advised, directed, and contributed to creating positive changes in many aspects in the border areas. In particular, they have advised and coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to select models to help people develop household economies in combination with selecting weak villages (hamlets) to focus on consolidating investment and construction, becoming bright spots in terms of economy and culture in the commune, advising on solving some pressing issues such as preventing opium replanting, preventing illegal migration, resolving land disputes, mobilizing people from high mountains to resettle in lowlands to stabilize their lives, etc., significantly contributing to the construction and improvement of the quality of the political system, socio-economic development, and strengthening national defense and security in border communes and hamlets.

On behalf of the working delegation, comrade Moong Van Hoi acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the staff of the provincial Border Guard base in socio-economic development and the work of building and consolidating the local grassroots political system in the past time.

He also suggested reviewing and selecting sufficient cadres and party members in areas where there are vacancies, promptly replacing cadres and party members with low work efficiency. Strengthening the organization of training courses, fostering and improving the capacity of local staff to carry out Party work, mass mobilization work and advanced scientific knowledge on socio-economic development for cadres.
