(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, October 1, under the chairmanship of Mr. Tran Van Mao - Standing Member of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council had a meeting with the leaders of the Provincial Inspectorate and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment on the work of receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations of citizens in the province.
In recent times, the two branches of the Inspectorate and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment have paid attention to investing in the work of receiving people and resolving complaints and denunciations from citizens, although the number of complaints and denunciations in the province is equal to that of 4 provinces in the North Central region combined (in the first 7 months of 2012 alone, 3,959 complaints and denunciations have been issued). The two branches have completed the regulations and procedures for receiving people and resolving complaints and denunciations from citizens in accordance with procedures, authority and in a timely manner, contributing to reducing the increase in complaints and denunciations in many areas. The quality of resolving complaints and denunciations under their authority has been high, clearly detecting correct complaints, correct and incorrect complaints and denunciations, and completely incorrect complaints and denunciations (70% of complaints and denunciations are untrue), effectively resolving complicated and prolonged cases.
At the meeting, the working group emphasized a number of issues that the two sectors need to pay attention to, namely solutions to limit the situation of false complaints and denunciations; deliberately prolonged complaints and denunciations; complicated cases that have not been handled; strengthening the connection and provision of information to the levels and sectors with the function of receiving citizens and handling citizens' complaints and denunciations, creating favorable conditions for the levels and sectors to have information to specifically respond to citizens in each specific case.
