Overview of the working session |
Opinions expressed at the conference basically agreed on the necessity of amending and supplementing the 2005 Civil Code to conform with the 2013 Constitution as well as the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and policies, and international treaties to which Vietnam is a member.
Many delegates said that the draft Civil Code (amended) stipulates many new and breakthrough issues, which play a very important role in institutionalizing the Party's resolutions and concretizing our country's Constitution in recognizing, respecting, protecting and ensuring human rights and citizens' rights in the civil field; implementing the judicial reform strategy; building and perfecting civil and economic laws, focusing on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economic institution and international integration.
During the discussion session, some delegates also expressed concerns about some terms that were confusing to the people, such as “Part of Property Rights”, “Part of Property Rights”, or new regulations on autopsy, etc.
In general, opinions focused on key groups of issues directly related to the people and localities.
Nghe An province will synthesize comments on the draft Civil Code (amended) to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
