Nghe An Provincial People's Council elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and two Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council: Cao Thi Hien and Hoang Viet Duong chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; National Assembly deputies of the province; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the province; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors at the provincial level and districts, cities and towns.

Accordingly, at the meeting, based on the proposal of the Provincial People's Committee on the election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to elect Mr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health to the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2016 - 2021. As a result, Mr. Duong Dinh Chinh was elected additional member of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2016 - 2021 with an absolute number of 82/82 votes. The Provincial People's Council voted to approve the draft Resolution confirming the results of the election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2016 - 2021 for Mr. Duong Dinh Chinh.

Previously, the Provincial People's Council also dismissed and voted to approve the draft Resolution confirming the dismissal of Mr. Le Xuan Dai - former member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, who is now retired according to the regime, from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

The Provincial People's Council also dismissed and voted to approve the draft Resolution confirming the results of the position of Provincial People's Committee Member, term 2016 - 2021 for Mr. Hoang Trong Kim - Director of the Department of Construction because he had retired from work before the Provincial People's Council held this 8th session.

At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council thanked Mr. Le Xuan Dai and Mr. Hoang Trong Kim for their contributions to the overall development of the province and the activities of the Provincial People's Council during their tenure.

This afternoon, the 8th session will hold a group discussion session and the Provincial People's Council has divided into 8 groups to discuss the socio-economic, defense and security situation in 2018, the 2019 plan and the issues raised.
