Nghe An Provincial People's Council supervises traffic safety work in Dien Chau and the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center
(Baonghean) -Implementing the working program, today, October 18, the People's Council of Nghe An province had a working session with the People's Committee of Dien Chau district and the Center for Motor Vehicle Inspection under the Department of Transport on ensuring traffic safety and order.
Attending the meeting were comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee.

In Dien Chau district, after listening to the report of the district People's Committee and the speeches of the members of the delegation, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Dinh Thi Le Thanh concluded the working session. She requested the leaders of Dien Chau district to seriously review the increase in traffic accidents; to evaluate the direction and key solutions to ensure traffic safety most effectively. In particular, it is necessary to focus on solving traffic safety order, preventing accidents on National Highway 1A. To do this well, Dien Chau needs to focus resources on propaganda work; to innovate propaganda forms and select the target group of young people and drivers to raise awareness of law compliance. In addition, violations must be strictly handled; there must be strict sanctions, strictly prohibiting cadres, party members, and leaders from intervening when their children or relatives violate the law on traffic safety order.
At the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center under the Department of Transport, the Provincial People's Council's Supervisory Delegation noted that the Center needs to improve the quality of inspection to ensure that motor vehicles after inspection are licensed for circulation must ensure absolute technical safety to avoid traffic accidents; do better in educating staff and civil servants, not allowing negative situations to occur, affecting the quality of inspection. The Provincial People's Council acknowledged the Center's recommendations and will include them in the agenda of the upcoming Provincial People's Council meeting.
