(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 13, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council held a press conference to announce the program and content of the 15th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021; the session is expected to open on July 20, 2020.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hien informed about a number of key activities of the Standing Committee and committees of the Provincial People's Council in the first 6 months of 2020 and the preparation work as well as the contents expected to be considered and decided at the 15th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, term 2016 - 2021.
Regarding the two contents expected to be questioned at the meeting, which are the management and implementation of urban land use projects and the handover and refund of initial investment costs for rural power grids, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hien affirmed that the Provincial People's Council has supervised, questioned and organized an explanation session on these two issues, on that basis, issued resolutions and conclusions.
However, the implementation of resolutions and conclusions in practice is raising many issues, especially the rights of the people are still not guaranteed, so in this session, the Provincial People's Council continues to question to thoroughly resolve the problems that are being raised.

Pointing out the existing problems and inadequacies in some typical urban land use projects such as the Minh Khang project and the difficulties in returning the rural low-voltage power grid, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper Tran Huu Nghia said that, besides "heating up" the issues at the parliament, it is important to have fundamental solutions and specific implementation plans after the questioning session to completely remove the problems and inadequacies, ensuring the rights of the people.
