Provincial People's Council: Visiting, giving gifts and wishing a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers of Ngu Island
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Nham Thin, on the afternoon of January 5, a working delegation of Nghe An Provincial People's Council led by comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh went to Ngu Island to visit, give gifts and wish a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers on the island.
The delegation held a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Ngu Island Martyrs Memorial, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs for the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. The delegation also directly visited and encouraged the officers and soldiers on duty ready to fight at the anti-aircraft artillery point on the island.

Talking to the officers and soldiers of Ngu Island, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh praised their efforts, attempts, and overcoming difficult conditions to complete the training and combat readiness tasks assigned by the army, contributing to firmly protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over the islands. Sharing the difficulties and shortages of the officers and soldiers on the island, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh hoped that the officers and soldiers would continue to promote tradition, strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, and take care of the conditions for the soldiers to enjoy Tet and welcome Spring.
