Provincial People's Council exchanges operational experiences with People's Councils of districts and towns
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 17, in Hoang Mai Town, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a conference to exchange experiences in improving the supervision of the settlement of voters' petitions with the Standing Committees of the People's Councils of Hoang Mai, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh and Quynh Luu towns.

At the conference, local People's Councils exchanged experiences and good practices in supervising the settlement of voters' petitions.
For Hoang Mai Town, the Standing Committee of the Town People's Council has solutions such as synthesizing and classifying voters' opinions and recommendations before, during and after the People's Council meetings in full according to all channels; strengthening the urging, inspection and supervision of the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations through the development of a regular and periodic supervision schedule.
Through monthly meetings, for urgent and prominent issues, the Standing Committee of the People's Council invites departments, branches and units to participate in the meeting and clearly explain recommendations, causes and propose solutions...

Meanwhile, the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Dien Chau district selected 5 issues that voters had repeatedly raised but had not been resolved to put into supervision. At the same time, together with the Organizing Committee and relevant departments of the District People's Committee, the delegation went to supervise the situation, working with local authorities, hamlets and some voters on outstanding and pressing issues.
Thereby, grasping the people's thoughts and aspirations and removing difficulties and shortcomings, partially meeting the legitimate aspirations of voters, maintaining political stability and social order and safety.

Also at the conference, delegates heard the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Quynh Luu and Yen Thanh districts present some experiences such as improving the quality of supervision of the settlement and recommendations of voters; proposing and selecting supervision content and scope...

Some units suggested that the Provincial People's Council pay attention to training and fostering operational skills for People's Council delegates at all levels; regularly organize meetings to exchange operational experiences for the Standing Committee and staff of People's Council Committees at all levels; organize for the Standing Committee of the District People's Council to visit and learn from the experiences of localities.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Viet Duong highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, frank discussion and exchange of the delegates. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said that, tThe responsibility of the advisory body and the head is very important and needs to be enhanced to help limit prolonged petitions and strengthen voters' trust in the People's Council session.
To make the activities of the People's Council effective, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong requested the Standing Committee and the People's Council Committees of districts and towns to synthesize and classify voters' opinions and recommendations in a simple and focused manner to send to the responsible agencies for response.
