Provincial People's Council - Fatherland Front Committee: Discussing regulations on coordination of activities for the period 2012-2016

(Baonghean) - In order to evaluate the coordination between the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in 2011 and discuss the coordination regulations for the entire 5-year term (2012 - 2016), today, December 30, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a joint meeting between the two agencies. Comrades: Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Hong Nhi - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the meeting.

In 2011, the working relationship between the People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee continued to be consolidated and strengthened, contributing to the good implementation of the functions, tasks and powers of each side, especially in promoting the people's mastery, protecting the people's legitimate rights and interests, and strengthening the great national unity bloc. The two sides coordinated well in the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in the province.

The two sides have also effectively coordinated in the work of propaganda, dissemination, and education of the people to comply with the Party and State's guidelines and policies as well as implementing many revolutionary action movements, successfully implementing the province's socio-economic, defense and security goals and targets in 2011. The activities of meeting voters, supervising, receiving people, handling citizens' complaints and denunciations; the information regime and handling of recommendations were carried out by the two agencies with quality, contributing to improving the effectiveness of activities according to the functions and tasks of each side, contributing to creating new changes in the activities of the People's Council.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh affirmed: the coordination relationship between the People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in the past time has been very practical, effective and ensured that each side successfully completed its tasks according to its prescribed functions. In the coming time, the two agencies need to continue to strengthen coordination in each work content, promote the completion of tasks according to the prescribed functions of each side; contribute to consolidating the rule of law state of the people, by the people and for the people; contribute to the successful implementation of socio-economic development, national defense and security goals in the province.
