When Hiep “ga” was contacted on the afternoon of May 19, the comedian admitted that he knew Vu Dinh Hai - a Vietnamese expatriate from Czechoslovakia, the owner of room 305 in house 17T.8. Hiep “ga” said: “It is true that I know Hai and have slept in room 305 in house 17T.8 a few times. I also lent him my laptop. However, I did not know that he produced drugs.”
The comedian also promised after a brief phone conversation that he was performing in Bac Giang at the time and would contact the reporter to discuss the details upon his return. However, all subsequent attempts to contact Hiep “ga” were fruitless.
